Week two of the inaugural Amber Nectar Chip Shop Challenge Cup is upon us. Barring a late flurry of votes, it looks like the Londesbrough Street and Dundee chippies are advancing from group one, who will join them in the knockout rounds from group two? It's time for East Hull's finest fishery to batter the opposition (yeeps).

Remember, the group stages will be decided by online votes only, and two fisheries will advance from each of the four groups of five chippies to the knockout stage. You only get to vote once per group, so choose wisely soldiers.

It's also strange to think that the once dominant Moby Dick's can't even qualify for the finals these days. Mind you I understand it's now under new management and concentrating on bringing through young talent ready for 2013.

I have voted for Latus on the basis that it was one of the best Chippies in Hull when I lived in the area getting on for 40 years ago. This reasoning, may of course be flawed.

Apart from decent grub, Latuseseseszzzz also gets my vote for friendly service and value for money.
Quite a few times when I 've been in there I've been given an extra fish or 2 if they are deemed to be a bit on the small size.

The only thing that would put be off going in is if I saw that fat cunt Prescott in the queue after another freebie.
