The funny thing about hiring a manager at this late stage of the season is that all the usual rules for supporters no longer exist. There's no time left to be "patient" with him, or "allow the system to develop", or similar platitudes. The results are needed, and they're needed now.

History won't (or at least, shouldn't) really judge Dowie's ability on how he handles these remaining games, as after all, there's very little he'll be doing other than motivating players and tinkering slightly with existing systems. But the fans will.

Really, Mr Muggins! I will put it down to too many pints of mild last night for such a moronic comment.
There is no bitterness from me about your victory at the Emirates, we didn't show you enough respect and tried to walk the ball in, we should have been 3 or 4 up before you scored. We got what we deserved. It is worth noting that we have not made the same mistake since, as we have beaten you every time we played you.
You all seem so happy about it though, and I can fully understand that. It was the biggest result in your clubs history.
Ian Dowie FFS. You lot must feel you've got rid of crabs and caught the clap!
Still I'm sure he will keep you up with such a great track record.

Same old Arsenal, always whinging.
They sum up all that is wrong with the Premier league - prima-donna, cheating, diving, Southern softies who think "little" clubs like Hull City have no right to tackle or challenge them.
Of the so-called "top 4" teams I never used to mind Arsenal but since they stopped winning trophies Wenger (& his players) have become as obnoxious as Ferguson & Man Utd. and is just a moaning, childish French cunt.
Of course he could always stop being childish & a moaner but nothing will ever stop him being a French cunt.

(Apologies if this appears twice, seems to be some problems with AN tonight).

I used to go to school with this girl I thought was pretty. I didn't know how to handle those emotions as a callow lad of eight so I used to follow her around and occasionally tease her.

Someone from Islington slagging off Hull. Oh the irony.

Just a question for you Arsenal fans. Does that other team in North London still exist? You wouldn't have thought so, the way some of you lot are going on.

The greatest prospect an Islington inhabitant can behold is to spend his days on a Hull City fanzine site. Heh - obsessed they are - obsessed.

Sigh. Islington born and bred. Unfortunately I lived for 12 years among Hullensians. 40 miles outside England, 40 years behind the times (dockside shopping mall notwithstanding). To paraphrase Dr Johnson; the greatest prospect a North Humberside inhabitant can behold is the highroad heading west (they're still too tight to head south over the Bridge). My eldest 2 kids were born in Hull fortunately the club you support can be a family inheritance and not an accident of birth, or I'dve had to make a mercy dash southwards in the days before the M18 avoided Doncaster
