PODCAST: TWTWT Podcast 101

The VIP guests just keep coming… ex-City striker and record signing Lawrie Dudfield joined us this week for a good old yarn about his two seasons with the club, while also giving his views on the current situation at the Circle.

We look back at Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday and in previewing the match at Birmingham try manfully – but fail easily – to remember the last time we played a league game on a Thursday*.

All here…

*Not including Christmas/New Year fixtures that just happened to be Thursdays, obvs.

Thursday matches. Excluding Boxing Day and New Years Day fixtures, and Europa League adventures, they are rare. Prior to the Fifth Round replay against Sheffield United, we had the Associate Members Cup Final against Bournemouth in May 1984, two Cup replays against Chelsea (the 1966 Sixth Round and a Third Round replay in January 1982) and the last game of the season in May 1981 at home to Newport County.
