NEWS: League Cup draw

City’s prize for beating Huddersfield last night and making the Round 4 of the League Cup for the first time since 1977/78 is a tie away to Tottenham.

It’ll be the first ever meeting of the two clubs in the League Cup, and means City will make two trips to White Hart Lane inside three days, with the Premier League fixture there taking place on October 27th and the Cup game occuring the very next week, hardly ideal for the regular traveller.

The match provides an opportunity to reach the Fifth Round of the competition for the first time in our history though, even if it’s about as difficult a draw as could be. Ho hum.
