This afternoon’s pitch inspection at Peterborough has seen the match passed fit for play – for now. A local referee has declared the London Road surface to be presently playable, though another inspection is planned for tomorrow morning, as the freezing temperatures are forecast to continue and the east of England is preparing for heavy snow this evening and the match remains in doubt.
Credit to Peterborough for assessing things today, and it’s apparent they’re doing their best to get the game played despite the inclement conditions and lack of undersoil heating. Let’s just hope a final decision is made before too many people leave Hull. Tomorrow’s inspection is due to take place “early”, a rather opaque time. That may arrive too late for those with early trains booked, though Tiger Travel’s departure time is 10.30am and you’d expect them to know by that time.

Thanks mate,
We’ve got train tickets to leave at 8am! Whatever happens I think Peterborough I a great place so I’m sure we’ll have a great time (The Brewery Tap & Charters are greats pubs!)

Peterborough Cathedral worth a visit and the W’Spoons serves decent grub…plus the usual beer choice…if a little pricier than I’m used to…that’s if the game’s late cancelled of course. Was there recently visting relatives….
