RESULT: Watford 1 City 2

Irish loanees David Meyler and Robbie Brady got the goals as the Tigers ended Watford’s long unbeaten run to record a third straight win in the Championship.

Meyler headed in the rebound after Corry Evans’ shot hit the crossbar five minutes before the break, then Brady swerved in a marvellous free kick with 17 minutes to go to make it safe.

In the third of four added minutes, Troy Deeney poked the ball under David Stockdale but City held on for the remaining 60 seconds to go fourth in the table. A downside was the early loss of Paul McShane with a knock to the ankle, though he was at least replaced by club captain Jack Hobbs, who was in the squad for the first time in eight months after a knee injury. Match report later.

Wonderful afternoon. City in control for almost all of the game. Great passing and 2 excellent goals.
This is a very good City team.
Even better as my neighbours are Watford supporters!
