RESULT: City 0 Leicester 0

City had their chances but in the end a point was a fair result against Nigel Pearson’s typically well-drilled Leicester City side at a sodden Circle.

Jay Simpson had a goalbound shot cleared off the line in the first half and aimed a free header straight at keeper Kaspar Schmeichel right at the end, while there were also good chances for the returning Sone Aluko.

Leicester created less but had long periods of possession, and the closest they came to scoring was when Abdoulaye Faye sliced a clearance right across his own goal and just, mercifully, wide of the post.

Though it ends City’s run of wins, it takes the unbeaten run to six and also represents the Tigers first clean sheet since the similarly intriguing stalemate against Crystal Palace a month ago. City stay second, and it’s Leeds next. Match report before the end of the evening.
