It’s a brave man who gets involved in the match betting on this one. City have won four games since the last time Mark Hughes’ men recorded a victory in the Premier League, yet the home side are a virtually unbackable 3/10 (BlueSQ) to overcome Phil Brown’s resurgent Tigers. Then again…faced with one of the Premier League’s six best sides who are overdue a victory, would you really want your money on City, even with Stan James’ 12/1?
Not really. This is one to leave alone, for the odds look correct on all outcomes. Let’s go for goals again, as City are scoring loads at the moment (okay, and shipping quite a few as well) – you can get 4/5 (Betfair) on the home side not keep a clean sheet. Looks promising, if the Tigers can continue their recent spurt of attacking. It’d be a much braver man who took the 9/1 on City keeping their opponents out for ninety minutes, however. Sportingbet.com’s 7/5 offer on there being four goals or more isn’t the worst bet we’ll see all season.
Three of City’s last four games have had a penalty in them – one of which was actually a correct decision. William Hill offer 11/4 on there being another at Eastlands on Saturday. We’ve also seen own goals in our last two matches, and this is the kind of market Paddy Power enjoy. They’re offering 13/2 for one to be scored at any time, or 25/1 on the first goal arriving in this fashion. And finally, a repeat of last season’s 5-1 drubbing is 40/1 with BlueSQ – surely not…?

As long as we keep it tight and prevent zayatte from making tackels and blocking shots, we should be able to come away with at least a point. Also brown needs to keep playing 2 up front.
Altidore and ghilas would go well me thinks. I think geo and bullard with hunt and garcia would provide the perfect midfield.
UP THE TIGERS

i think 3/1 on a draw or city win looks good for an outside bet on william hill

Your having a laugh Man City will batter you Tigers just like they did last year. 6-0, 4-0 by half time. Looks like another half time team talk on the pitch

garcia r you having a laugh if you have been to any of the last two home games you would see that he is 100 % out of position leaving our right back first mendy n then mcshane marking two players! i think city will be beat on sat for one reason the absolute class players man city have there however i think we will battle hard and 7 points out of our last 3 games with 8 goals scored is a massive improvment well done browny ! COME ON THE TIGERS

Hull showed against Everton they can battle as well an anyone, although this is still a game that should reignite City’s flagging season – another draw and Hughes will have some angry fans to answer to, otherwise hopes of Champions League football next season will seem increasingly remote. I just hope the European betting market has been opened by then, so that millions of consumers are granted the chance to chose their bookmaker and be allowed to place bets on the events of their choice, rather than the paltry selection offered by state-run monopolies at the moment. The campaign at http://www.right2bet.net is seeking consumer justice, please support the petition against monopolies!
